This was an iPad app upgrade for QVC where I worked with a wider team of UX architects and other technical leads from an external agency in Dublin. The main function of the app was to detect when the user is watching the TV and switch to a second screen mode which allows you to explore products on air and shop as you watch the live channel. Another new feature was the ability to interact directly with the presenters by integrating social media to the app. The external agency was briefed on the actual development and we had to undertake several reviews to get the designs exactly where we wanted them. Following the release of the new feature, orders made using the iPad app increased by 22%.
